Janel has over 15 years of psychiatric nursing experience with 10 years as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Her psychiatry services include psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management for the treatment of various mental health conditions. She enjoys working with families to find the best treatment plan for their children with comprehensive health care solutions beyond traditional medication such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, audiology, behavior/play  therapy, 504 and IEP plans for education needs. 

Janel maintains board certification with ANCC for her speciality and is certified to treat all ages but has a special interest and many years of experience in pediatrics. She had an additional population special interest in women's mental health. She specializes in both child and adult ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder/Neurodevelopmental Disorders, PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder and anxiety.  Janel graduated from The Ohio State University with both her BSN and MSN where she earned her PMHNP specialization. She currently holds an adjunct faculty position as a clinical preceptor with OSU and enjoys teaching future psychiatric nurse practitioners. 

She is a lifelong Mid-Ohio Valley resident and resides just across the river in Ohio with her husband and three children. They enjoy spending time attending all their children's music and sport activities as well as traveling.
